Privacy policy

What MoodForge does

MoodForge changes the appearance of the ChatGPT website. It does not collect, sell, or send your conversations, prompts, or chat history to our servers.

To place optional bubbles behind starter suggestions, the extension checks labels on controls on the ChatGPT home page locally. These labels are not stored or transmitted. Reply bubbles style message containers without reading the conversation text. The extension uses the current page address to apply its appearance settings on ChatGPT; it does not keep a browsing history.

Account and payment information

When you sign in, Sites provides your account identifier and email address. We store these with your Stripe customer reference, membership status, paid-through date, and connected browser records. Stripe processes payments and stores payment details. MoodForge does not receive full card numbers.

If you redeem complimentary access, we store the code hash, its expiry and redemption limit, and the account and time of redemption. The code issuer can revoke that access. Complimentary access does not create a payment or an automatically renewing subscription.

Browser storage

Your selected background, custom colors, and saved looks stay in your browser. The extension stores a device credential and signed membership verification locally, and caches downloaded artwork. It contacts the MoodForge service to verify membership and retrieve daily artwork. Disconnecting clears its local credential; uninstalling clears extension storage.

Service providers and security

The website runs on Sites infrastructure, with Cloudflare database and artwork storage. Stripe handles billing. These providers may process technical connection and security logs, including IP addresses, under their own policies. We use no advertising trackers and do not sell personal information.

To limit abuse, the service temporarily stores hashed request-limit identifiers derived from an IP address, account, or connected browser. These limits expire and are removed through routine cleanup.

Limited use

MoodForge complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide and protect the appearance customization, membership, and artwork features described here. We do not use or transfer it for advertising, unrelated purposes, creditworthiness, or lending. We share information only with service providers needed to operate these features, with your consent, or when required by law.

Retention and your choices

We keep account and billing references while your account is open and as needed for billing records, support, fraud prevention, or legal requirements. You can disconnect browsers from your account, cancel renewal through billing, or request account deletion. Deletion may end membership access; financial records may need to be retained separately.
